Although it’s been said, Many times, Many ways…

Late December is called the best time of the year, as it’s a time for celebrating holidays, gathering with friends and loved ones, and paying homage to beloved traditions.

Olde Bryan Inn celebrates many wonderful and long-standing traditions around the holidays! We love to gather as a staff and hang Christmas décor, a few weeks later Secret Santa gifts are exchanged; in December favorite winter cocktails make a reappearance, and the culinary team looks forward to the challenge of our yearly Thanksgiving-donation rush in November, to name just a few of our favorites.

holiday mug and glass by fireplace      Beginning around that Thanksgiving rush we start to see friends and family gathering at the Olde Bryan Inn with brightly wrapped gifts, shopping bags from downtown, and ugly sweaters galore. Read on to see some of the favorite holiday moments some of our guests have shared with us from their OBI celebrations!

JoAnn has had multiple exciting moments with us over the years! “Great food & wonderful service with some cherished memories: birthdays for various family members; my oldest grandson’s rehearsal dinner in ’18,” she told us. And then almost one year ago, “last New Year’s, my youngest grandson & his fiancee announced their engagement at a family luncheon.”

Having lunch at OBI after Black Friday Shopping is a yearly tradition for our friend Laura and her two daughters! Nothing satisfies a hungry shopper like piping hot French Onion Soup!

Connie told us “it’s the one place we bring all our out of town guests. The history & the food are just fantastic!” She even went on to say that her family tradition is to “always have our New Year’s Eve dinner at OBI. Great way to look forward to the start of a new year!”

Another patron, Jay, also said he enjoys kicking off the New Year with a cozy meal at the Olde Bryan Inn.  Talk about starting the new year on the right note!

Thank you to our wonderful friends, family, and staff who visit us throughout the year, and help us to create such lovely memories with you! We are grateful for the love and support we have for each other as a restaurant, as well as from our amazing community and guests. We look forward to another beautiful year of celebrating beloved traditions, and starting brand new ones, here at the OBI.
