Fall for Fall Beer
As the days grow shorter and the chill in the air becomes more persistent, the Olde Bryan Inn is preparing for the coldest months of the year. Fireplaces have been cleaned and prepped for crackling fires, our chefs are dreaming up tasty and warming dishes, and perhaps best of all, our Beer List is decked out in Fall variety! We can’t wait to share the flavors of the season with you.
Downeast Pumpkin Cider – A sweet treat with a percentage! Cider fanatics and Pumpkin junkies no longer have to make a choice when it comes to this Boston-based beverage. Downeast presses fresh apples with ripe pumpkins to create this flavorful 5.1% ABV cider. Chai spices are blended during the aging process, to produce a perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and hoppy cider flavor.
Left Hand Oktoberfest Marzen Lager – What else do you drink in the Fall if not Oktoberfest? Left Hand Brewing Company plans ahead for this anticipated season when they start the brewing process in the Spring. With a medium body and 6.6% ABV, the dry and spicy finish follows the hearty flavor of biscuits and malt at the front. No steins required! Don’t forget to look for our Tavern Pretzels on the Specials Menu that day!
Saranac Pumpkin Ale – Made in our own state, Pumpkin Ale from Saranac Brewing Company is essential to the Fall Beer Bucket List. Classified as a hearty spiced ale, it pairs perfectly with savory Autumn foods like Duck and seasonal Squash. Saranac brews flavors of cinnamon, allspice, ginger, and, of course, pumpkin, into this full-bodied amber ale with an ABV of 5.3%.
Shipyard Pumpkin Ale – Another tasty pumpkin ale comes to us from Shipyard Brewing this month! A golden wheat ale with 4.5% ABV, it boasts lovely aromatics and a hint of spicy flavor, to enhance the pumpkin. Celebrate the season with this crisp and refreshing reliable Fall favorite.
So which of the Autumn tap selections are you excited to try? Will you drink them with Fall-themed foods, such as our Pumpkin Walnut Ravioli Saute, or sample one of our nightly specials, such as Roast Duckling or French Vanilla Cheesecake?
Now at Olde Bryan Inn, you don’t have to choose, if you don’t want to! Ask your server or bartender about a Beer Flight and sample every Fall offering, just be sure to tell us which you like best!
